Nurses’ trust in managers and its relationship with nurses’ performance behaviors: a descriptive- correlational study

Abstract Background Organizational trust is one of the most important issues in human relations that its importance organizations well known. Effective communication and cooperation between individuals require trust. On other hand, quality a nurse’s his/ her manager affects behavior performance nurse. The purpose this study was to determine nurses’trust managers (head-nurses supervisors) relationship with nurses’ behavior. Methods This descriptive-correlational performed participation 431 nurses working educational centers Ardabil, Iran. sampling method stratified randomly. Questionnaires McAllister Trust Paterson Job Performance were used. Data analysiswas using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, frequency) Chi-square testin SPSS v.22. Results results showed majority trusted head-nurses (80.3%) supervisors (61.9%). In addition, functional (92.1%) reported as excellent. There no significant nurse head-nurse nurses’functional ( P = 0.58), while it nurse-supervisor 0.03). Conclusion Therefore, recommended ways improve treatment team, especially among are considered factors influencing behavioral performance.
